We all just returned from Warsaw and Krakow after a weekend break there . We flew the polish version of Easyjet called "Wizzair" whos slogan is "you get a loty for your zloti" (the zloti being the polish currency.

While there we visited the salt mines now these mines have been in use since the middle ages we travelled down 800 steps till we where 80 meters underground

The tunnels run 250 km (we only walked 2.5 of them) and have 9 levels (we only went through 3) and reached a debth of 130 meters underground there are underground churches huge caverns shops and a ballroom!! (weddings are carried out there along with basketball games as well a number of amature sculptors have made statues and wall carvings in the salt rock
