Now only 2602 reasons

Well I suppose it had to happen but there is a thing here far better than Oz

Fireworks are Legal here

My wife's Uncle is currently not in the good books (with her not me) as he presented me with a firework. Now this might not sound like much but when you consider that this "firework" is a foot high 10 inches wide and 10 inches deep with a big warning saying you must be at least 25 meters back when it goes off ! it does sound great

Will be buying some of my own "crackers" as well (sky rockets etc these are all available in every supermarket) to set off on "Bon fire night"

Will post pics of night (I know I havent put pics of house on yet but that is because I am waiting for a good day and pics of all the moving boxes really wouldnt be that interesting)

Thinking abvout it the constant rain couls also be the reason for the natives lack of fear of fire

Reason 2603 that Oz is better

Now I don't wish to appear biased but well I am!

We have sold our little flat and are now the proud owners of a "wee house" in the "wee village" of Eaglesham. Now to say the sale of our old place was traumatic would be an understatement and the reason for the title of this post. In Oz if you buy a house you put down a 10% deposit and if the sale falls through you've lost it. Not in sunny Scotland not only don't you have to put a deposit down but if the person fails to come up with the funds by law you have to give them 2 weeks more to come up with the funds before you can put your property back on the market !!!!

To cut a long long story short we settled (we found out 4pm on the day of the sale that it was going through) and are now in our new house photos are to follow once internet connection is back up.
