Scottish Pollen is Evil

Well with spring/summer (there isn't that much difference between the two here) the birds are singing the flowers are blooming and I am suffering, after spending 40 years getting used to the pollen of Australia the pollen over here is knocking me for a six.

This is the first time I have been grateful for the pretend summer they have here it means this will all be over soon.

As per usual here's a couple of links that I think Chris and Coop will especially like

Summer solstice

Well its the longest day of the year and so far this summer I have got to wear my shorts a whole 3 times !!!!!

Now as any who know me can attest I am by no stretch of the imagination a sports fan but being far from home when the Aussies play even I pay attention and boy do I wish I hadn't now its hard enough being the lone Aussie ( sorry Steph but this is a boy thing so you don't count) without giving the Poms and Scot's ammo so to aid our ailing cricket team I am posting this link as they obviously need the practice

Better Late than Never

Sorry it has been so long since my last post it just struck me recently that it is halfway through my 1st year here in Scotland though I have to say I'm still browner than most Scots. Anyway I've actually got some news for a change.

Firstly we just had a visit from the HMAS ANZAC and one of my fathers mates (thanks Dave) brother is the 2IC and we not only got invited to a party in the officers ward room (Oz beer yeah !!!!!!!)

And after we had a tour of the ship what was the most amazing thing was the chopper !

The next night I took a few of the boys for a night on the town and have been informed that the crew think Glasgow is one of the best ports they have ever been in. Also of interest I took my sister in law along to the ship the night before it sailed and the "Weasle" (a story for another time) thoroughly approves of solo lemon soft drink just a pity its not available here.

On another note for those that where over for our wedding its been a year already how time flies anyway will make an effort to post more often.
